Wow, you made especially Weed look much much better then he is in the show .
The white spots above his eyes looked in the original version like bumps.
Oh, advanced critiqzue encouraged?
Wait, Iīll do a quick overpaint: [link]
- I tried to make the figures of the dogs easier readable for the viewer, putting contrast to the white dogs but (I forgot the names D, putting a shadow underneath the orange dogs belly and fixing Weeds legs.
- there are some small anatomy flaws, weeds hindleg was in the wrong perspective and the white dog had no breast.
- The biggest flaw in this pic are the eyes. Somehow Weed looks cute but at the same time like a puppet whose eyes are sewed on without care. The reflections make him look like heīs crosseyed.
The dogs are missing good head constructions, Weeds ears suggest that his head is leaned to the left but his muzzles looks like the head is straight. I donīt understand the white dogs head :/. [link]
Please note some other things:
-The reflections in the dogs eyes come from 3 different sides. Where does your light come from?
- the orange dog and the white dog have very similair looking front legs. Repetitions donīt look good in a style where you exaggerate the individual characteristics.
- the noses and eyes are solid black. This makes them look flat (same for pure white). You could work subtle with different shades of dark grey.
Sorry for my AWESOME english
The style in this pic is wonderful, I really like the way you used it .
Oh, and I really like your confidend and sloppy lines in your other pictures.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

I'd give advanced critique if I could, but I can't find much wrong with it D8.

It takes 90% effort, 10(or less) % talent
